Cooking de Janicita 🥗 Red Miso Fried Rice TOPPED with cilantro+toasted cashew nuts

So specially for @lukey.christian since it’s his birthday, I made a fried rice using pork and there was some leftover in the fridge too.

Decided on using readymade japanese red miso paste and added garlic+Kenya beans+spring onion+white cabbage+black pepper+pink salt | What a yummy fried rice japanese style!

And no soya sauce and sesame oil were used.

Cooking de Janicita 🥗 Stir fry Organic Udon with oyster mushrooms

For the base sauce, I used ginger+garlic+soya sauce+sesame oil+black pepper+coconut vinegar+Taiwanese rice wine | Special mention of the sesame oil from a Singapore brand that’s been around since 1950s @nanyangsauce – the taste is so pure and rich that it enhanced the flavour of the dish like no other sesame oil I’ve tried so far. Their 12 months aged soya sauce is another amazing condiment which I would love to try cooking with next! |~

Jan Lee : “O-kra O-kra wherefore art thou?”

One of my fave veggies, I chanced upon this GIANT sized okra or ladies finger (as known in Asia), all thanks to @lukey.christian who pointed it out to me while strolling in the East of Singapore.

So what can you do with okra ?

Well I’ve recently done pickling with it. My Mommy typically would stir fry it with some belachan, an Asian -style chilli paste with dried shrimp and garlic.
Otherwise you can do it with only garlic too.
Isn’t the flower so pretty as well?

Spaghetti with Shimeji Mushrooms+Brócolini+Garlic+Spring Onions TOPPED with spring onions+goji berries | So I sautéed all the vegetables in olive oil and added sesame oil+salt+black pepper when I stirred in the pasta. Wanted to experiment using Italian style noodles with the Chinese condiment sesame oil. Must say that the fusion combo worked well – light yet flavourful ! |~.

Cooking de Janicita 🥗 Curried Tempeh+Dragon fruit with Janicita’s special sauce Ramen TOPPED with lime juice+red chilli |

So I was thinking of a different way to cook tempeh and came up with this Indian fusion version – galangal+Indian pre-mix spices+red curry powder+garlic+pepper+salt+
coconut sugar .
For the organic ramen from @thezeroways (I love your noodles!) and Chinese Spinach, I used the balance oil from the tempeh and added garlic+home made vegetable stock+sesame oil+pepper+salt. |
Best thing ever – my Mom loved this version of the tempeh and commented that my stir fry noodles (vegetarian) always seemed tastier than hers! And FYI my mom isn’t a big fan of my fusion food.
Will keep on exploring and pushing taste buds of people around me. |

Coconut Curried Quinoa with Olive oil fried garlic tempeh+white dragon fruit+pomegranate TOPPED with cilantro+garlic chips+lime juice |
So this is the other plating I did (see previous post on round plating) and it seemed that more people prefer this one. To be honest I like both but the round one is not my usual style and visually more symmetrical. Always good to push yourself out of your comfort zone!
