Cooking de Janicita šŸ„— Bhindi Masala – Okra/ Ladies Fingers in Onion+tomato Curry TOPPED with toasted cashews+raisins

So okra is one of my fave veggies and i decided to experiment cooking this dish. For Indian cooking you need some basics : mustard seeds+ cumin seeds+ coriander powder+turmeric powder+fresh ginger+garlic+chilli.

And pay attention to the order of the spices – mustard and cumin first ! | I was also inspired by an Afghan rice dish that makes use of raisins and nuts so decided to add them for enhanced flavours and textures. | As good as the ones Iā€™ve had at Indian restaurants and even better cos of my Janicita touch ! Such a satisfying dish to go with rice .
